Meetings between European and African entrepreneurs to promote cooperation and investment between SMEs
The initiative aims to promote contacts between European and African companies through collaborations, agreements and joint ventures, encouraging a new entrepreneurial spirit that can generate jobs, inclusive growth, social development and political stability.
The event, whose organizers include European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME and Confapi, will take place simultaneously between Rome and Dakar (Senegal) via live streaming, and takes the place of the edition scheduled for 2020, but postponed due to the pandemic. 50 African states will be involved, through Pacci, the Pan-African Chamber of Commerce, and will be attended by the president of Senegal, Macky Sall, and ministers and institutions from Togo, Nigeria, Djibouti, South Africa and Kenya, as well as the heads of the continental Africa free trade area (AfCTA).
During the conference, the Africa IP SME Helpdesk will be launched, an EU-funded project aimed at assisting EU SMEs in the process of creating, protecting, using, administering and enforcing intellectual property rights throughout Africa, in line with international and European practices and in support of the Agreement on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Agenda 2063 of the African Union.
